Most common hair surgery and hair transplant complaints are:

• The growth rate is not fast enough. Yes, it can take anywhere from 6-18 months for someone to see the full benefits of a hair transplant. In a world of immediate gratification, it can be quite agonizing that after the procedure you have to sometimes spend well over a year before you see the full results of a hair transplant.
   
• Poor growth or sometimes called poor yield. Quite often, hair surgery patients complain that the growth is not as great as they would expect considering the # of grafts done. In medical terms, this is usually called poor yield. In other words, say if you get 100 grafts and the final result resembles more like what one would expect from 50 grafts, that is poor yield.
   
• Hair transplant plugs is another commonly cited complaint especially in the old days when hair transplants were performed using larger instrument. These are unsightly plugs that people can immediately recognize that you have hair transplant done.

• Massive scarring. This happens less often but is still a very real concern especially if you choose a lesser known doctors. Simply put something must have gone wrong during the procedure and result in massive scarring in the patient's scalp. This could also be due to infection after a hair transplant surgery.
